Talk on Virtual Production, 2 hours
See and hear how the newest virtual production techniques are used in series like Disney’s Star Wars Mandalorian and how the monstrous and spectacular scenes in e.g. Marvel’s Avengers Endgame are planned.
The common denominator is Epic Games Unreal Engine, which is normally used for games, but now are also used to produce films, music- and commercial videos.
An inspiring talk, directly showing how virtual production is done. A technique that isn’t just reserved for big Hollywood blockbusters, but also can be used to make movies on a small budget, even student films.
Motion Capture Course, 1 day
Exciting one-day “hands-on” course, where the attendants get familiarized with Motion Capture, which is recording actors movements and the technique of transferring that movement to a 3D character in the computer.
The course includes a talk about virtual production followed by a workshop. The attendants also get the opportunity to explore different roles on set, such as actor, director and more.
In the end, we will share our experiences from the day and evaluate the produced material.
“All inclusive” Virtual Production Course,
In-depth five days “hands-on” course where the attendants get familiarized with recording actor movements and building sets on the computer, also known as; Motion Capture and Virtual Sets.
Lastly, we go into synching up the handheld camera with the computer.
Af the lessons the attendants produce their very own short film, that will be presented to the rest of the class on the last day.
Game Cinematic, 5 days
The course includes education in virtual production, followed by a theoretical and practical workshop, with an introduction to worldbuilding and general film storytelling.
In just a week the attendants will produce their own short animation film.
During the course, the attendants get the opportunity to build their own set in the software Unreal Engine, where they can create everything from spectacular fantasy worlds with orcs and dragons, to classic social realism.
At the end of the course, we will share experiences from the week and evaluate the completed material produced.
